There are people who come to work, and there are people who show up: fully, consistently, with everything they have. Five years ago, Sistability gained the latter when Nicole joined the team. And if you've had the privilege of working alongside her, or being supported by the organisation she helps shape, you already know exactly what we mean. As our Services Manager, Nicole has been central to ensuring the people we support receive the highest standard of care, each and every day.

When Nicole first walked through the door (in a combination HR/Accounts role) she brought something that no job description could have captured. Not just skills, not just experience, but a rare and genuine quality: she actually cares. About the people she works with. About the people Sistability serves. The Mama Bear of Sistability

It didn't take long for people to notice. When things got complicated (and in the work Sistability does, complicated is sometimes an understatement) Nicole was the steady presence in the room. When someone needed guidance, she had it. When someone needed reassurance, she offered it without hesitation. When someone simply needed to feel heard, Nicole listened.

That's where the nickname comes from. Mama Bear isn't just a term of affection (though it absolutely is that). It's a recognition of something deeper: that Nicole has, over these five years, become a safe place for the people around her. A go-to. A constant.
