Case Studies: Stories of Care and Connection
Every client we support has a story — and every story matters.
These case studies highlight the people, families, and communities we work with each day, and the ways Sistability helps make life a little easier, safer, and brighter.
“Jenny” – Specialised Cleaning for a Safer Home
“Jenny” (name changed for confidentiality) is a participant of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) who lives in the Lismore region. She lives with schizophrenia, a complex mental health condition that can make everyday tasks — like cleaning and organising — especially challenging.
When Jenny’s symptoms worsen, maintaining her home environment can quickly become overwhelming. Over time, this can lead to safety issues or housing concerns. Sistability’s weekly cleaning visits provide essential stability, helping her keep her tenancy and live in a healthier, more supported environment.
Dylan – A Seamless “Move-Out" Clean in Alstonville
Dylan contacted Sistability when he needed help with a move-out clean at his rental property in Alstonville. He’d heard that Sistability could handle all types of specialised cleans — and that we work directly with real estate agents to ensure everything meets their inspection standards.
Dylan wanted the job done properly and without stress. After speaking with our Services Manager, Nic, he sent through photos of the property so that we could prepare a detailed quote and plan tailored to his needs and the agent’s expectations.
“Hayley” – Ongoing NDIS Support for Stability
“Hayley” (name changed for confidentiality) is a long-term NDIS participant who lives with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She and her family have been with Sistability for several years, relying on our ongoing cleaning and gardening services to help maintain a calm, organised home environment.
Hayley currently receives four hours of cleaning support each week and two hours of gardening every fortnight through her NDIS plan. These regular visits have become a trusted part of her family’s routine — helping reduce stress and allowing them to focus on daily life and the things that matter most.
Pete – Maximising His Support at Home (SaH) for Independence at Home
Pete is an aged care client from Suffolk Park who receives support through a Support at Home Package managed and coordinated by Sistability. Like many older Australians, Pete wanted to remain living in his own home for as long as possible — safely, comfortably, and independently.
Since coming on board with Sistability, Pete’s care has been overseen by our Aged Care Manager, Jenn, who has worked closely with him to review his goals and make the most of his available funding.
