“Hayley” – Ongoing NDIS Support for Stability
“Hayley” (name changed for confidentiality) is a long-term NDIS participant who lives with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She and her family have been with Sistability for several years, relying on our ongoing cleaning and gardening services to help maintain a calm, organised home environment.
Hayley currently receives four hours of cleaning support each week and two hours of gardening every fortnight through her NDIS plan. These regular visits have become a trusted part of her family’s routine — helping reduce stress and allowing them to focus on daily life and the things that matter most.
Consistent, Compassionate Support
Each week, Sistability’s team members Bec and Krystal visit Hayley’s home to complete her scheduled cleaning service. Over time, they’ve built a trusted and respectful relationship, understanding how to work around Hayley’s needs and preferences with empathy and care.
Their approach is gentle, consistent, and flexible — allowing Hayley to maintain control of her environment while receiving the practical help she needs. Whether it’s keeping shared spaces tidy, managing household tasks, or creating calm through order, their support makes daily life more manageable for the entire household.
Gardening for Wellbeing
Every fortnight, Sistability’s gardening team visits to maintain Hayley’s outdoor spaces. Regular lawn care and garden maintenance are key parts of her NDIS support — ensuring her home remains safe, accessible, and enjoyable.
For Hayley, having tidy outdoor areas provides peace of mind and a sense of pride. For her family, it’s one less thing to worry about — giving them more time and energy to focus on recovery, work, and day-to-day activities.
Team Communication and Understanding
As with all long-term clients, Sistability maintains clear and regular communication between the team and our management. Team Manager Nic provides Hayley’s cleaners with weekly notes, ensuring any updates or new priorities are shared before each visit.
After each service, Bec and Krystal provide detailed notes on what’s been completed, helping us track consistency and quality. This ongoing feedback loop supports both the client’s goals and the wellbeing of the team.
The Impact
For Hayley and her family, Sistability’s ongoing support means much more than a clean or tidy home. It provides a sense of stability, predictability, and care — elements that are essential for anyone managing PTSD.
The regular visits also reduce the pressure on family members, who can focus on work, parenting, and personal wellbeing, knowing that the home environment is cared for by trusted professionals.
Over time, this partnership has created not only a cleaner home but also a calmer, more functional living space — one that supports healing and daily life.
Why This Work Matters
Hayley’s story reflects why Sistability’s NDIS services are so important. Many participants live with complex or invisible conditions that make home management difficult. By providing reliable, trauma-informed support, our team helps clients maintain independence, dignity, and comfort in their own homes.
Our cleaners and gardeners are more than service providers — they’re compassionate professionals who understand how stability at home can support mental health and family wellbeing.
Making a Difference
